Workshop in experimental music making with jumping speakers and vibrating objects
by Maximilian Glass. Maximillian Glass is in Kochi with the support of IFA Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen together with Andreas Ullrich (C.Rockefeller Center / Netzwerk Medien Kunst) to present and foster collaborations between German/Indian Art project tandems. This workshop will give an participatory insight on his methods of exploring sounds and oszillations.
Participants will be guided through a hands-on process of creating their own DIY sound instrument by transforming a simple loudspeaker into a small synthesizer (oscillator). Through this process, participants will explore sound objects, listening, tuning, and interaction with sound in space.
The session will focus on experimentation, play, and collective learning, offering space to discuss ideas around sound art, improvisation, and alternative approaches to music-making.
The workshop will conclude with a collective performance / interactive installation, bringing together the sounds created by participants.
