Relationship Fields is a site-specific performance by Felix Chang and film artist Gregor Kasper, bringing together seven performers in a dance and video installation. The work explores relationships through simple bodily encounters: falling and being lifted, embracing, waiting, following, supporting, or standing together in the wind.
Rather than defining these gestures as fixed images, the choreography allows their meaning to shift through distance, weight, duration and repetition. As the performers encounter one another, familiar gestures become fragments of possible memories. What happens between the bodies on stage may awaken something in the spectator’s body: a person, a touch, a moment of closeness or separation. The work moves between encounter and memory, between what is seen and what is personally remembered.
